The Municipal Consumer Information Office provides a free, direct service; its aim is to inform the region's people about their consumer rights and obligations and to help with applying them in daily life.

WHAT FOR?

So that residents, when buying goods and using services, may obtain information about how to safeguard their rights as consumers and users.

To receive complaints and reports from consumers and users and send them on to the appropriate organizations and institutions.

The Municipal Consumer Information Office CANNOT DEAL WITH THE FOLLOWING:

• Claims made by professionals or entrepreneurs, because in this case there is no end user/consumer.
• Problems which have arisen between private individuals (purchase and sale of homes, cars...)
• Problems between neighbours (Commonhold Property). These cases may be referred to the organization BIZILAGUN
• Bills related to urban taxes, except where the complaint has been dealing with an Agency.
• Claims against a Public Authority. For these matters you will have to complain to the department of the Authority concerned which deals with the public.
